Dirty Laundry Therapy doesn’t believe in resistance, only in the fear of the unknown.
Motivation and Origins
I was motivated to open Dirty Laundry Therapy in 2024, when I graduated from Yorkville University’s M.A. Counselling Psychology program after seeing how generic most clinics felt. Their websites made me feel like I was a delicate piece of porcelain that would fall into pieces if they weren’t gentle enough.
My interest grew as I built a caseload from clients who stated they wanted a “no bullshit” approach to their work in therapy which confirmed that there was a lack of direct and authentic clinics in the therapy space. Inspired by their trust, I finetuned my approach to balance this more direct attitude with patience and tenderness for the more raw moments.

Therapy Philosophy
My origins opened me up to the concept of people being comprised of multiple parts, and it led me down the rabbit hole of Internal Family Systems (IFS). To me, it makes total sense! For example, one part of you might want to have dinner but another doesn’t want to cook.
The theory fascinates me because it uses concepts we naturally engage in and turns them into something therapeutic. It allows your parts to become aware of each other and work together, instead of just getting louder.
I believe even the parts that make us behave negatively or unproductively have a purpose worth exploring. Maybe they want to do something else, find a better way to do their job, or simply not feel alone. I completed my IFS Level 1 training with the IFS Institute in 2025 to deepen my expertise.
About Me
I’m a Queer, French-Canadian (Franco-Ontarian) who enjoys knitting, being in nature, and challenging myself in the kitchen. I’ve always found relationships fascinating: how they begin, are maintained, and end. This curiosity developed my reflective thinking skills, which help me hold multiple perspectives.
I am located in Ottawa, ON and I’m able to offer virtual services Canada-wide.
If you find yourself struggling to understand what seems to be going wrong in your relationships or in the way you speak to yourself, we may be a good match.
If you know there’s a part of you, deep down that seeks redemption from the narrative of your life, you align well with IFS. The weight of attachment injuries (hurtful experiences with loved ones), shame, self-criticism, and despair can all be held.
For those who are mostly curious about areas of growth, you will be challenged through existential perspectives.
